How to set up safety protection and measures in pipeline design

1. Set up necessary safety protection and measures according to the characteristics of production and operation:

l) fire extinguishing system and sprinkler facilities

2 for example, fire-proof structures (firewall, explosion-proof wall, etc.) of buildings and structures used for engine utilization, door structure, pedal, front end, seat shell, underbody and cockpit transverse members)

3) ventilation to remove toxic, corrosive or combustible vapors

4) telemetry and remote control devices

5) facilities for emergency treatment of hazardous substances (storage or recovery devices, torches or incinerators, etc.)

2. In brittle material piping system or flange. Protective covers shall be set at joints, valve covers, instruments or mirrors to limit and minimize the harm of leakage

3. Automatic or remote emergency cut-off, over-flow valve, additional cut-off valve, flow limiting orifice or automatic closing of pressure source shall be adopted to limit the number and speed of fluid leakage

4. The valves used to deal with accidents (such as emergency venting, accident isolation, fire steam, fire hydrant, etc.) should be arranged in a safe, obvious and convenient place

5. Cut off valves shall be set at the boundary of battery limit for combustible and toxic materials entering and leaving the device, and spectacle blind plates shall be set at the side of the device to prevent mutual influence in case of fire

6. Set up necessary protective masks, gas masks, emergency respiratory systems, and special reagents. Portable combustible and toxic gas detection and alarm system and other health and safety equipment. Emergency showers and eye washes should be set near the discharge point or leakage point that may cause accidental injury to human body, which should still be in an important strategic opportunity period of development

7. Shielding protection, automatic alarm system and special masks, gloves and protective clothing shall be set for radioactive fluids

8. Electrostatic grounding measures should be taken for piping systems that may generate electrostatic hazards in explosion and fire hazard areas. It can be grounded through the grounding of equipment, pipelines and civil structures. Other anti-static requirements shall comply with the provisions of general guidelines for the prevention of electrostatic accidents gb12158

9. The setting of blind plate should meet the following requirements:

l) when the device is shut down for maintenance, there are three cutting mechanisms installed: for the pipeline that is possible or required to continue to operate outside, in addition to the shut-off valve at the device boundary, the blind plate should also be set at the flange on the side close to the device of the valve

2) during operation, when some equipment needs to be cut off for maintenance, a blind plate should be set at the flange joint between the valve and the equipment. For toxic and combustible fluid pipelines, when a vent valve is installed between the valve and the blind plate, the pipeline behind the vent valve should be led to a safe place

10. When utility (steam, air, nitrogen, etc.) pipelines are connected with GC1 and GC2 pipelines, the following requirements should be met:

l) check valves should be set on the continuously used utility pipelines, and shut-off valves should be set at their roots

2) two shut-off valves should be set on the utility pipelines used intermittently, and an inspection valve should be set between the two valves to avoid impurities such as water
